The SWBNO is an 1100+ employee public utility responsible for the treatment and distribution of safe drinking water and water for fire protection throughout the city of New Orleans; for the collection and treatment of all wastewater for safe return to the environment; and for the drainage of the totality of the City of New Orleans.  In as much as the Board has recently embraced a new management team, we are hiring and retooling to re-energize and broaden our resource  team  toward  ensuring  that  the  services  we  provide remain viable for future generations.  Our future is exciting!

We are creating comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater, drainage/storm water control systems, and community infrastructure through an expanding portfolio of project delivery systems


Manages Recovery Program and/or project cost and schedule, change control processes, and documentation in connection with the management, planning, coordination, and execution of the entire life cycle of assigned engineering projects and/or programs in order to monitor progress, identify and analyze and make recommendations to resolve problems and imbalances and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned projects and programs.

Minimum Requirements

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or have three to five years of project scheduling, project management, and construction management experience with a track record of successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.  Experience working on construction projects for the City of New Orleans and/or State of Louisiana is preferred.

Strong written and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint as well as SharePoint and standard industry automated project management information systems for scheduling, scoping, budgeting, cost analysis, resource analysis, and reporting. Must possess the ability to prioritize assignments and build strong relationships.

Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, information management, mathematics, or computer science
