Road improvement projects are funded by a variety of sources included voter-approved bond funds, Disaster-Community Development Block Grants, FEMA and general fund budget allocations.

During construction please be mindful of surroundings and take caution when driving, bicycling and walking near active construction projects.

Recovery Roads

The single largest infrastructure investment in New Orleans is FEMA-Funded Recovery Roads Program, a comprehensive recovery strategy to repair Hurricane Katrina related damages on and beneath city managed streets throughout New Orleans. Paths to Progress

Paths to Progress is a transportation improvement program to rehabilitate, restore and enhance more than 60 roadway segments in Orleans and Jefferson parishes. Click here for more information about completed, upcoming or planned projects.
