Project Manager (Disaster-CDBG)
The Office of Facilities and Infrastructure is seeking candidates to fill the position of DCDBG Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for the implementation of projects and programs funded through the City’s Disaster-CDBG Program and ensuring that all participants in the program adhere to Federal, State, and Local compliance requirements.
Must provide technical assistance to sub-recipients as needed, track projects using Quickbase, attend Environmental Compliance review meetings, review new applications and amendments, respond to audit findings, and review vendor contracts/CEAs. Also, candidates must prepare requests for budget adjustments and process draw requests. Candidates must conduct periodic monitoring of sub-recipients and provide written synopsis with action items, responsible party and deadlines for completion as well as prepare completion reports for all projects and maintain project/program files inclusive of all relevant documentation.
Candidates for the position must possess excellent written, oral, organizational and project management skills; also extensive knowledge of the rules, regulations, and interpretations governing CDBG funded projects. Must also have a minimum of four 4 years work experience in project management, urban planning, public administration or related field. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of HUD federal regulations, public financing, and principles of sustainability, smart growth and public-private partnerships.
