NEW ORLEANS, LA – The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) will continue the Movies in the Park program with “Hocus Pocus,” tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Sam Bonart Playground in the Lower Ninth Ward. The Sam Bonart Booster Cub is hosting this week’s film.
Movie-goers are encouraged to arrive early for a fun pre-show physical activity presented by Fit NOLA Parks. Beginning about 6:15 p.m., Kenneth “Kynt” Bryan will teach the dance from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video.
Throughout the fall, residents will have the opportunity to watch family movies for free on a large portable outdoor movie screen in grassy areas in parks and playgrounds across the city. Movies will begin at 7 p.m., weather permitting.
Movies in the Park is free and open to the public. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No pets, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, firearms, weapons, smoking, or cooking will be allowed during the event.
