NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will travel to Washington, D.C to attend a luncheon in honor of Francois Hollande, President of the French Republic hosted by Vice-President Joe Biden at the United States Department of State.
Secretary of State John Kerry will attend along with other dignitaries. The visit from President Hollande celebrates the new era in United States and French relations.
While in Washington, D.C, Mayor Landrieu will also conduct meetings to advance New Orleans’ murder reduction strategy and the development of the new North Terminal at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
Mayor Landrieu will return to New Orleans on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.
