NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy issued filming notices to New Orleans residents in New Orleans East.
On Monday, May 12, 2014 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm and Tuesday, May 13, 2014 through Saturday, May 24, 2014 between 6:00pm and 6:00am (weather dependent), a production company will be filming exterior scenes in New Orleans East, near France Road. The filming activity will include vehicular stunts, gunfire, explosions, and helicopter activity. Law enforcement, EMS and NOFD will be on site to ensure public safety and to help facilitate the work.
Film New Orleans within the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy assists productions with the City’s permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
In 2013, New Orleans hosted 60 tax credit film projects (TV, films, and commercials with budgets over $300,000), with direct spending of $456 million.
