To lessen neighborhood tensions by establishing and maintaining an open line of communication and liaison with residents, government agencies and other neighborhood entities. Provide an open process by which all members of the neighborhood may involve themselves in the affairs of the neighborhood.
To enhance the quality of life of all residents by helping to ensure our neighborhood parks, schools, and libraries are maintained by individual government agencies and participating in beautification projects, signage placement and maintenance at interchanges, monitoring drainage improvements, maintaining neighborhood watch programs and any other projects that would improve the neighborhood.

Coordinated in 2006 in response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Grassroots organization designed to improve Filmore Gardens and assist in improving all of Gentilly.
