TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closures on Westbound I-10 for Streetlight Repairs

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Tuesday, March 12, at approximately 9 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will close the westbound right lane, along the stretch of I-10 between Dumaine Street and Gravier Street.

This closure will include the westbound I-10 on-ramp from Orleans Avenue and Canal Street Exit. (see map). This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs by the DPW contractor, All Star Electric.

Public safety is our priority. Throughout the closure period, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., appropriate signage will be deployed to safely guide motorists through the affected area.

This closure marks another step in the ongoing collaborative effort between the DPW and LaDOTD to systematically address streetlight repairs. By working together, both the City and State are dedicated to the successful implementation of these crucial improvements.
