The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC is approximately 80% complete with the Jackson Ave. Resurfacing Project between S. Claiborne Ave. to Tchoupitoulas St. The overall project began in September 2016 and is expected to be complete by the beginning of April 2017.

Sewerage and Water Boards rebuilt a sewer manhole on the 1700 block of Shirley Drive.
The Department of Public Works will begin road work later this year on the West Bank.
A sewer manhole repair was completed by the Sewerage and Water Boards at the intersection of Magazine St. and Washington Ave.

Boh Bros. Construction, LLC crews are scheduled to begin construction of a new two-lane flat span vehicular bridge at Joe Brown Park this spring. The new bridge replaces a similar bridge, which had deteriorated over time and lived past its design life.
The Department of Public Works will begin several road projects this summer in the Lower Ninth Ward. Projects will consist of Incidental Road Repairs, Non-Paving Incidentals, Patch Mill & Overlay and Patch Concrete.

Construction crews from Dieudonne Enterprises, LLC started construction on the Youth Study Center Streets Infrastructure Improvement Project in Feb. 2017. Crews began by installing protective tree fencing, traffic safety signage and setting up the worksite before excavating blocks with damaged water lines.
A Patch, Mill and Overlay (repaving) project began on St. Charles Ave. in Jan. 2017. The project is a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
The Gravier St. Reconstruction project is approximately 80 percent complete and on schedule to be done this spring. The project, which spans between S. Galvez St. and S. Broad St., will help improve juror access to the Orleans Parish Courthouse and the Falstaff Building.
The City’s construction contractor, Command Construction Industries, LLC is scheduled to break ground on the S. Galvez St. reconstruction project in Central City this spring. The project boundaries are S. Galvez St. between Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and Toledano St.
