The New Orleans Police Department’s General Assignment Units investigated approximately 1,717 complaints. As a result the NOPD’s Task Force Units, they investigated 42 Felony cases, conducted 589 Vehicle Checks and issued 394 citations. They made 66 Narcotic cases confiscating 13 Guns and numerous amounts of Crack, Marijuana, Crack Cocaine, Powder Cocaine, and Heroin.
Since July of 2010 Officers have investigated approximately 255,092 complaints, executed approximately 1,203 Search Warrants, made approximately 7,399 Felony cases, conducted approximately 92,541 vehicle checks, issued approximately 48,094 citations, made approximately 7,047 Narcotic cases, confiscated approximately 1,734 guns and numerous amounts of Illegal Narcotics.

First District General Assignment Units investigated 234 complaints. They made 45 cases for 11 Felony, 23 Misdemeanors and 11 Municipal violations. The units wrote 32 reports and made 140 pedestrian contacts and 25 field interviews. They stopped 97 vehicles, issued 57 citations and made 12 traffic arrests. They conducted 1 Wanted Check and made 7 Narcotic cases confiscating Narcotics.
Second District General Assignment Units investigated 255 complaints and 3 hot line complaints. They made 36 cases including 2 juvenile for 24 Misdemeanors,12 Municipal violations and issued 14 Summons. They made 257 pedestrian contacts, 50 field interviews and wrote 44 reports. They made 134 vehicle stops, issued 60 citations and made 21 traffic arrests. They executed 2 Search Warrants, conducted 2 Wanted Checks and made 17 Narcotic cases confiscating 6 Guns, Narcotics and cash.
Third District General Assignment Units investigated 273 complaints and 3 previous complaints. They made 46 cases for 2 Felony, 16 Misdemeanors, 24 Municipal violations, issued 18 Summons and had 4 Curfew violators. They made 66 pedestrian contacts, 107 field interviews and wrote 28 reports. They made 108 vehicle stops, issued 45 citations and made 6 traffic arrests. They executed 1 Search Warrant, conducted 2 Wanted Checks and made 3 Narcotic cases confiscating Narcotics.
Fourth District General Assignment Units investigated 155 complaints. They made 41 cases for 32 Misdemeanor, 9 Municipal violations, issued 7 Summons and had 1 Curfew violator. They made 49 pedestrian contacts, 25 field interviews and wrote 19 reports. They made 52 vehicle stops issued 44 citations and made 13 traffic arrests. They conducted 16 Wanted Checks and made 5 Narcotic cases confiscating Narcotics.
Fifth District General Assignment Units investigated 184 complaints and 5 previous complaints. They made 42 cases including 4 juvenile for 4 Felony, 24 Misdemeanors, 14 Municipal violations and issued 2 Summons. They made 61 pedestrian contacts, 47 field interviews and wrote 30 reports. They made 82 vehicle stops, issued 123 citations and made 11 traffic arrests. They made 9 Narcotic cases confiscating 4 Guns and Narcotics.
Sixth District General Assignment Units investigated 54 complaints. They made 12 cases for 4 Felony, 3 Misdemeanors and 5 Municipal violations. They made 8 pedestrian contacts, 9 field interviews and wrote 7 reports. They made 6 vehicle stops, issued 5 citations and made 1 traffic arrest. They conducted 1 Wanted Check, executed 1 Search Warrant and made 2 Narcotic cases confiscating Narcotics.
Seventh District General Assignment Units investigated 255 complaints and 9 previous complaints. They made 26 cases for 1 Felony, 19 Misdemeanors, 6 Municipal violations and issued 26 Summons. They made 51 pedestrian contacts, 29 field interviews and wrote 18 reports. They made 99 vehicle stops, issued 48 citations and made 11 traffic arrests. They made 1 Narcotic case confiscating Narcotics.
Eighth District General Assignment Units investigated 307 complaints, 2 previous complaints and 3 hot line complaints. They made 91 cases for 20 Felony, 39 Misdemeanors and 32 Municipal violations. They made 90 pedestrian contacts, 90 field interviews and wrote 50 reports. The units stopped 11 vehicles and issued 6 citations. They conducted 90 Wanted Checks and made 22 Narcotic cases confiscating Narcotics.

Any person who, after the commission of a felony, shall harbor, conceal, or aid the offender, knowing or having reasonable ground to believe that he has committed the felony, and with the intent that he may avoid or escape from arrest, trial, conviction, or punishment shall be charged with R.S. 14:25; Relative to Accessories After the Fact.
An accessory after the fact may be tried and punished, notwithstanding the fact that the principal felon may not have been arrested, tried, convicted, or amenable to justice.
Whoever becomes an accessory after the fact shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars, or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not more than five years, or both; provided that in no case shall his punishment be greater than one-half of the maximum provided by law for a principal offender.
