(August 07, 2014)– This morning just after 8am, the Seventh District General Assignment Unit along With investigators with the LA/SPCA, arrested 40 year-old Milton Campbell. Investigators seized a high volume of marijuana and five confined Pit Bulls from Campbell’s home in the 7800 block of Star Street.
Undercover detectives arranged a drug deal with Campbell at an earlier date, and later obtained a search warrant of his home. Officers executed the warrant and learned Campbell was possibly operating an illegal dog fighting ring. SPCA investigators removed five chained Pit Bull Terriers from the home in addition detectives recovered 8 pounds of Marijuana, narcotics packaging materials and $ 4,618.00 in cash was also seized from the home
Campbell was arrested and booked with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Relative to Keeping Confined Dogs, and Dog Fighting.
Campbell had been previously arrested for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, and Criminal Damage to Property, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Suspended Driver’s License.
