Pedestrian Killed While Trying to Cross Intersection

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The NOPD is investigating a traffic fatality that left a 24-year-old man dead.   The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.  The incident took place this morning in the 1500 block of Franklin Avenue.

Missing Juvenile Reported

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Keaton Johnson. He was last seen by Ms. Lydia Coney, a staff member at the Boys and Girls Town, on March 13, 2015, in the 4000 block of South Carrollton Avenue.

Dixon Street attempted murder fugitive arrested in South Carolina

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - Nashawhan Thompson, 21-years of age was booked as a fugitive in Union, South Carolina for a warrant issued for two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder, one count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.

Suspect Arrested For Multiple Thefts

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - The NOPD has arrested 31-year-old Stephen C. Soleas, and booked him with two counts of Theft and Criminal Trespassing.  All three incidents took place inside of the Sheraton Hotel located at 500 Canal Street.

NOPD K-9 Unit Apprehends Suspect After He Carjacked A Woman In CBD Parking Garage

NEW ORLEANS, LA. -  Today, the NOPD arrested 20-year-old Karl Jackson for carjacking a woman in the Tulane University Hospital parking garage located at 150 South Liberty Street. The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m.

Suspect Sought In Algiers Armed Robbery

NEW ORLEANS, LA- The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown black male, who is wanted in connection with an Armed Robbery that occurred at the intersection of Behrman Road and Newton Street. The Armed Robbery took place on Thursday, March 12, 2015.

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two unknown males who are wanted for an Armed Robbery.  The incident took place March 12, 2015, in the 1000 block of Saint Anthony Street.

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect who is wanted for a Business Burglary.  The incident took place March 12, 2015, at the Speedee Oil Change located at 2601 Esplanade Avenue.

Orleans Parish Sobriety Checkpoint

NEW ORLEANS, LA,- The NOPD Traffic Division will conduct a sobriety checkpoint beginning at  9:00 p.m. on Friday ,March 13,2015 to 5:00 a.m. on Friday, March  13,2015.  Motorists will experience minimal delays and should have the proper documentation available if requested, i.e., proof of insurance, driver’s license, etc.

NOPD Partners With Domino's Pizza To Promote Recruitment Campaign

NEW ORLEANS, LA—Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu, NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison, City officials and the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation (NOPJF) announced a new partnership with RPM Pizza, LLC, the largest franchisee of Domino’s Pizza in the country, that will expand the Department’s recruitment campaign by providing free advertising at Domino’s Pizza stores across the region.
