About the Treme Center Renovation

Come see your new Treme! Work on the $4.8 million upgrade to the Treme Center, which was heavily damanged by Hurricane Katrina, began on January 31, 2012. Indoor repairs included replacement of the swimming pool and pool equipment, installation of a new computer lab and music room, restoration of the Granwood gymnasium floor and electrical system upgrades. Outdoor repairs included painting, installation of new hurricane resistant doors and windows, reroofing, and installation of new playground equipment.
