NORDC Summer Camps for ages 4-17

 

NORDC partners with organizations across all five city council districts to offer a wide array of academic, cultural and recreational summer activities for youth. 

Free breakfast and lunch are served daily at all summer camps to ages 18 and under. All summer camps will have free-of-charge field trips to Audubon Zoo, Aquarium of the Americas, and NORDC pools for swimming lessons.

Required for Registration:

1. Proof of Orleans Parish Residency (copy of driver’s license or utility bill)
2. Proof of Income for one full month with a 2015 date (pay stubs, SSI or food stamp award letters).  If no income, a notarized statement to that effect.  (Proof of income and proof of residency may be the same document – pay stubs and award letters.)
3. Copy of a 2014-2015 report card
4. Registration fee (cash or money order only; no checks will be accepted)

About NORDC Teen Summer Camps 

 

Important Information

  • Appointments are scheduled electronically on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Teen applicants must be Orleans Parish residents, ages 13 – 15 years old.
  • Original documents must be presented at the time of your appointment. Copies will not be accepted. Necessary documentation includes:
    •  Teen's Birth Certificate or Birth Card
    • Current School or State ID
    • Teen's social security card
    • Teen's most recent report card / progress report
    • Proof of Address (Lease, Utility Bill, Voter's Registration Card)
    • Proof of Income (Two current check stubs, SNAP/FITAP Letter, Child Support Printout, Social Security Printout(s), College Award Letter)
    • Proof of Guardianship (Parent ID)
  • Teens must be dressed in school uniforms or business casual attire.
  • All applicants must have a registered appointment. No walk-ins will be accepted.
  • Only one teen may be scheduled per appointment. (If you are hoping to schedule more than one teen, each teen will need their own individual appointment slot).
  • Teens must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian (Name on birth certificate or court-ordered document).
  • If any of the above requirements are not met, the teen will not be allowed to proceed with the application process.
  • There are no make-up appointments.
