Solar

Solar panels can generate clean energy, lower electricity bills, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

There are several ways New Orleans residents can benefit from solar energy, including installing panels on your home or participating in community solar programs. Explore the options below to learn what may be available to you.

Community Solar

Community Solar lets New Orleans residents use solar energy without installing solar panels on their homes.

Instead of putting panels on your roof, you can subscribe to a local solar project. The energy produced by that project helps power the grid, and you receive credits on your Entergy New Orleans electricity bill.

Several projects are currently being developed. The City of New Orleans is working on the process for residents to sign up.

More information about how to participate will be posted here soon.

Solar for All

Solar for All NOLA is a City-led program that helps New Orleans residents explore affordable solar energy and battery storage options for their homes or businesses.

For the latest information and updates, visit the Solar for All NOLA website.
