Healthy Start New Orleans

‼️URGENT! Healthy Start, a federal initiative that has served moms, babies, and families for over 30 years, has had $145 million in funding ELIMINATED in the 2024 House Appropriations Bill H.R. 5894. The Healthy Start program improves maternal and child health outcomes in communities with high rates of infant mortality and low birth weight. The elimination of funding for this program could have significant impacts on the availability of resources and support for mothers, babies, and families impacted by poor outcomes and social determinants of health.
