Hearing Information

Owners with outstanding violations are scheduled for a hearing before a hearing officer. Hearing officers are empowered to levy fines of up to $500.00 a day. Please note that fines can be levied daily until violations are corrected.  

Adjudication hearings are held at 1340 Poydras Street Suite 1100. Property owners should come prepared with all applicable documentation.  

Suggested documents include: 

• Dated clear and complete photographs of the property 
• Recent contracts and/or bids for repairs and/or abatement of the violations 
• Proof of financing for repairs and/or abatement of violations  Ownership documentation 
• Any and all additional documentation relevant to the listed violations  

Provide documentation that verifies all violations have been abated and that the property is now in compliance. Include case number and/or address with all payments.
