The August 17, 2022 Design Advisory Committee meeting includes review of design review 025/22 for the proposed Village at English Turn project located at 5000 English Turn Parkway. City Planning received a large number of public comments for this project. The meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on the 8th floor of City Hall in the Homeland Security Conference Room.
This multi-family development requires design review in accordance with Article 4, Section 4.5 of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, including review by the design advisory committee because it exceeds 40,000 sq. ft. in floor area. The role of the DAC is to provide design related feedback. Safety and Permits will conduct a zoning review for compliance with zoning requirements, such as permeable open space. Safety and Permits will also review the project for compliance with stormwater management requirements that are found in the building code. The proposed multi-family development is allowed by right within the subject S-RM1 Multi-Family Residential District. Table 13-1 lists the uses permitted in the S-RM1 Multi-Family Residential District (http://czo.nola.gov/Article-13#13-2).
