Welcome to the Office of Community Development (OCD)! We're a team dedicated to making the neighborhoods of Orleans Parish better places to live, work, and play.
At OCD, we have six units that work together to support our communities:
One important thing to know is that OCD receives money from the federal government to help our city. We carefully choose local organizations that can use this money to help the most people in the best way possible. While we can't give money directly to individuals for home repairs, we can connect you with resources that may be able to assist you.
Our goal is to create neighborhoods that everyone can be proud of, and we do that by providing affordable housing, creating jobs, and offering special programs for those who need extra support. We believe that by working together, we can make New Orleans a city where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

These agencies include the City’s Office of Community Development (OCD), the Mayor’s Office of Community Assets and Investment (OCAI), the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO), the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) and Finance New Orleans (FNO).
