Utility Assistance Program

Since March of 2020, the Office of Community Development (OCD) has been honored to serve the great residents of Orleans Parish by proving both utility and rental assistance, through funding received from the US Department of Treasury during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

At this time the funding has been depleted for those services, and both the Pandemic and program has ended.  However, OCD remains steadfast in serving local organizations within the city of New Orleans.

While we are unable to provide direct assistance to residents, we may be able to connect you with Community Partners and resources that may be able to assist you.

If you are facing eviction and need legal representation, please contact Southeast Louisiana Legal services at (504)529-1000.

Our goal is to create neighborhoods that everyone can be proud of, and we will continue to assist with the creation of affordable housing, employment opportunities, and offering special programs for those who need extra support. We believe that by working together, we can make New Orleans a city where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
