FY24 VOCA Allocation
Notice is hereby given of the availability of FY24 federal funds through the Office for Victims of Crime housed in the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs.
This funding is to support the provision of direct services to victims of crime at no cost to victims. Programs must be operated by a public agency, nonprofit organization, or a combination of such agencies. The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) administers and allocates these funds through the Orleans District. The total amount available to the Orleans District is $861,426.00. All applicants are required to provide a 20% cash and /or in-kind match with the following exception: no cash and/or in –kind match is required for Native American tribes/organization or reservations. Projects will be funded up to a 12-month basis.

2024 Notice of Funding Availability
Juvenile Assessment Center Technical Assistance Provider
The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice Coordination seeks a technical assistance provider to support the establishment of a Juvenile Assessment Center.
A total of $175,000 over a two-year period is available. We anticipate selecting one recipient for this NOFA. An information session will take place on October 21, 2024 at 1pm. Register for the session here.

Community-Based Juvenile Diversion
The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice Coordination is seeking proposals from qualified applicants to provide community-based diversion programming.
A total of $500,000 over a two-year period is available. We anticipate selecting one recipient for this NOFA.
A virtual meeting will be held on August 23, 2024, at 4 PM CST to answer general questions related to this NOFA and accompanying application. You may submit questions in advance of the meeting to Kate Hoadley at kate.hoadley@nola.gov. Please register in advance for this meeting.

FY 2023 Byrne JAG Fundng availability
Notice is hereby given of the availability of FY 2023 Byrne JAG funds through the Bureau of Justice Assistance, housed in the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. This funding is to provide criminal justice funding to state and units of local government to support all components of the criminal justice system. The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) administers and allocates these funds through the Orleans District. The total amount available to the Orleans District for FY 23 is $215,875. Projects will be funded on a 12-month basis.
To be considered for this competitive opportunity you must complete the following:
1. First review the complete BJAG FY 2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity.
2. Complete the corresponding Notice of Intent (NOI) found on LCLE’s Grant Funding Information page.
3. Complete OCJC’s supplemental grant questions found under the grants section application tab of the OCJC webpage.
4. Submit a printout of the applicant agency’s current Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number and System for Award Management (SAM) registration number with its expiration date.

2023 OJJDP Allocation
Notice is hereby given of the availability of FY22 federal funds through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP), housed in the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. This funding is to support programs related to delinquency prevention and reduction, juvenile justice system improvement, research, evaluation, and training. Programs must address one or more of the areas the JJDP Advisory Board has identified: mental health; delinquency prevention. Programs must be operated by a public agency, non-profit organization, or a combination of such agencies. The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) administers and allocates these funds through the Orleans District.
The total amount available to the Orleans District is $26,078. One project will be funded on a 12-month basis.

2023 STOP Allocation
Notice is hereby given of the availability of federal funds through the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) housed in the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. The intent of the STOP program is to reduce violence against women by developing and strengthening effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies used to combat violent crimes against women ages 11 and older as specified by OVW.
Programs must be operated by a law enforcement and prosecution agencies. Also must be distributed evenly between the two type of agencies. Priority shall be given to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, including underserved populations. The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement administers and allocates these funds through Orleans District.
The total amount available to the Orleans District is $118,502. All applicants are required a 25% cash or in-kind match; however, Native American tribes/organizations and victim service providers are exempt from the standard match requirement.

Representatives of agencies will be required to attend this meeting to be considered for funding.
Projects should be ready to start by January 1, 2024. Funding for this cycle will end on June 30, 2025. The possibility exists for continuation funding. However, projects are encouraged to seek other local level or private sources of funding.
