Join us for REEL reSET: ESSENCE Film Festival Edition! This event is uniquely curated in partnership with the Essence Film Festival and Film New Orleans, Office of Cultural Economy to offer space for Louisiana filmmakers to connect with other filmmakers from across the nation.
This event is free and open to the public. Flippin Birds will provide food that keeps you nourished. We’ll bring the free libations that keep you moving, and DJ2 Ready has the beats that keep you grooving.
Reel ReSET kicks off the ESSENCE Film Festival as the host mixer for the visiting EFF filmmakers. We’re providing a meeting place for creatives, festival goers and our community as they continue to enjoy the ESSENCE Film Festival screenings and events between July 5-8 at the Convention Center as a part of the ESSENCE Festival of Culture.

Film New Orleans serves as the city’s One Stop Shop for Film Permitting intaking and processing all film and location permits.
Film New Orleans is the City of New Orleans film permitting department. Film New Orleans is responsible for the following:
Issues film permits and manages location filming; facilitates communication and permitting among city departments and agencies and supports film workforce training and education program for independent filmmakers.
