The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy invites you to attend the 2025 Cultural Economy Workshop, a free event designed to equip members of the arts and culture community with the knowledge and resources needed to successfully navigate opportunities with the City of New Orleans.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Gallier Hall. This initiative underscores the City’s commitment to fostering economic opportunities for cultural practitioners. The first Cultural Economy Workshop was held in January 2020, connecting over 100 community members with City resources.
The Cultural Economy Workshop aims to empower New Orleans' creative community by providing access to essential resources, networking opportunities, and tools necessary to thrive across all cultural sectors. Attendees will gain valuable insights, receive BRASS registration support, and learn information about key City programs, including the Cultural Economy Funding Program, Homeownership Program for Culture Bearers, New Energy Program, and the Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO) Program. Additionally, a Brunch & Learn session will provide attendees with guidance on how to do business with the City, helping participants successfully register as contractors/vendors/suppliers in the BRASS system and navigate the procurement process.
The event will feature breakout sessions led by City representatives from the Office of Cultural Economy, Office of Community Development, Office of Economic Development, Office of Supplier Diversity, and the Bureau of Purchasing and Office of Procurement.
Registration is now closed, as we have reached our maximum capacity of attendees.
