Municipal Complex Advisory Committee

Purpose
The committee was established to review and recommend a process for development of a new municipal complex for the City of New Orleans, consisting of a new City Hall and Civil District Court. In accordance with Home Rule Charter § 4-104, the function of the Committee is limited to counsel and advice, and it has no authority over development of the municipal complex.
Composition
The Advisory Committee consists of eleven (11) members. Five (5) members are appointed by the Mayor, five (5) members are appointed by the New Orleans City Council (with each City Council district member appointing one member), and one (1) member is appointed by the Judicial District Court Building Commission.

Length of Service
Members will serve on the Committee through the term of the Committee, or until their earlier death, resignation, or removal.

Term Length
In accordance with Home Rule Charter § 4-104, the Committee shall be constituted for a term of not more than one year from the date of appointment, but may be appointed from year to year. After expiration of such term, this Charter will cease to have any further force or effect.
