Purpose

The Upper Hurstville Security District promotes and encourages security in the area included within the district and the overall betterment of the district.

Composition

Nine members.

• The president of the Upper Hurstville Residents Association;
• The board of directors of the Upper Hurstville Residents Association appoints four members;
• The Mayor appoints one member to the board from a list of nominations submitted by the Upper Hurstville Residents Association;
• The state representative whose district encompasses all or the greater portion of the area of the district appoints one member from a list of nominations submitted by the Upper Hurstville Residents Association;
• The state senator whose district encompasses all or the greater portion of the area of the district appoints one member from a list of nominations submitted by the Upper Hurstville Residents Association; and
• The councilmember whose district encompasses all or the greater portion of the area of the security district appoints one member from a list of nominations submitted by the Upper Hurstville Residents Association.

Term Length

Four years.
