Boards and Commissions
New Orleans is home to over 100 public boards and commissions that play a vital role in shaping the city's future. These entities address a wide range of issues, from public safety and education to housing and economic development, all with the goal of improving the quality of life for our residents.
Established through various legal means, including state law, the Louisiana Constitution, the City's Home Rule Charter, ordinances, and mayoral executive orders, these boards and commissions bring together dedicated individuals to tackle our city's most pressing challenges.
