About the Board The Health Care for the Homeless Advisory Board works to improve healthcare delivery for our city's homeless population. We bring together patients and community leaders to shape the future of homeless healthcare services.

Who Can Serve?

Patient Members

  • Current registered patients
  • Must have used HCH services within past 24 months

Community Members

  • Experts in community affairs
  • Local government representatives
  • Finance and banking professionals
  • Legal professionals
  • Social service agency representatives
  • Trade union representatives

Note: Health center employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to serve.

Our Mission

  • Advocating for the patients who utilize the healthcare services delivered at the HCH clinics.
  • Providing recommendations and advising the HCH leadership to better serve the homeless population.
  • Encouraging persons experiencing homelessness to seek healthcare and maintain a healthy lifestyle, regardless of their situation or ability to pay, by using the services offered at the clinic during their time of need.

Advisory Board Meeting Dates

Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from noon-1 p.m. on the second floor at Health Care for the Homeless, 2222 Simon Bolivar Ave. and are open to the public.
