Fortify NOLA Gap Funding

Who it’s for

The Fortify NOLA Gap Funding Program is available only to eligible Orleans Parish homeowners who meet income requirements, have been awarded a grant through the most recent round of Louisiana Fortify Homes Program, and need additional financial assistance to complete their state-approved FORTIFIED Roof™ project. Eligible applicants must meet the program’s Area Median Income (AMI) requirements (up to 120% of AMI).

Program overview

The Fortify NOLA Gap Funding Program provides additional financial assistance to eligible Orleans Parish homeowners whose approved FORTIFIED Roof™ replacement costs exceed the grant amount awarded through the Louisiana Fortify Homes Program. Administered by the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority on behalf of the City of New Orleans, the program helps bridge the remaining funding gap so homeowners can complete their roof replacement and strengthen their homes against future storms. Funding amounts are based on household income, household size, and the final approved project cost.
