The program is intended for income-eligible, owner-occupied homeowners in New Orleans who are seeking to replace their roof with an IBHS FORTIFIED Roof™.

Program Overview

The Housing Trust Fund Owner-Occupied FORTIFIED Roof Program helps eligible New Orleans homeowners replace their roofs with an IBHS FORTIFIED Roof™, making homes

more resilient while helping reduce the long-term burden of homeowners insurance costs. The program is expected to provide up to $25,000 in financial assistance for eligible roof replacements. Assistance may be fully forgivable for qualifying households, while some higher-income participants may be required to repay a portion of the funds.
