Who It’s For

Eligible New Orleans landlords who own four or fewer rental units and are willing to meet program affordability and renter protection requirements. Participating landlords must commit to maintaining assisted units at 80% Area Median Income (AMI) or below for the required affordability period.

Program Overview

The Small Rental Rehab Program provides financial assistance to eligible small landlords to complete critical repairs that improve rental housing quality and help units pass Healthy Homes inspections. The program offers up to $50,000 per unit in subsidy, with a maximum of $200,000 per property owner, for eligible rehabilitation activities such as FORTIFIED

Roof™ upgrades, HVAC repairs, weatherization, windows, and other health and safety improvements. Larger subsidy awards require longer affordability commitments, and participating landlords must provide renter protections that meet program standards.
