Welcoming America is a nonprofit organization that is putting inclusive communities on the path to becoming better and welcoming across the board by solidifying that all residents, including immigrants, belong. This network supports cities and recommends strategic approaches to improve and prepare cities to welcome immigrants and refugees. With a scholarship award of $12,000 from Welcoming America, the letter of support from Home is Here and several city departments and community organizations, New Orleans achieved the designation of a Certified Welcoming City.
