We foster a supportive environment focused on rehabilitation through accountability measures gracefully combined with growth opportunities. Our professional team upholds conduct expectations while moving each youth towards self-improvement goals targeted to their unique needs.
All youth admitted to the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center have access to medical and mental health care through Children's Hospital New Orleans LCMC Health on-site clinic. Mental health services are provided by a licensed board-certified child and adolescent and forensic psychiatrists and a licensed clinical social worker.
Youth are enrolled in the Travis Hill School under the New Orleans Parish School Board.
The Juvenile Justice Intervention Center provides evidence-based treatment programming that supports every juvenile’s capacity to learn. Youth have the opportunity to participate in a variety of programs facilitated by staff and volunteers, as well as diverse recreational activities led by experienced recreational staff.
