Mayor's Neighborhood Engagement Office to Host Fifth Neighborhood Cares Day Tomorrow in Hollygrove-Dixon Community
NEW ORLEANS — The Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO) today announced it will host its fifth Neighborhood Cares Day of the year tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 8. This event will take place in the Hollygrove-Dixon community at the Brooks-Shaw Temple United Methodist Church (8818 Pear St.) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Food will be provided to all volunteers and participants, and music will be provided as well.
The event will also include a community resource fair where residents can retrieve useful information from City departments and several local organizations.
Partners for this event include the Hollygrove-Dixon Neighborhood Association, Rebuilding Together New Orleans, Resilience Force, We Dat's Chicken and Shrimp, Crescent Care and PeeWee’s Crabcakes.
NEO is still seeking volunteers for this event, and anyone interested in volunteering should visit nola.gov/nci. Volunteer check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
