Mayor's Neighborhood Engagement Office to Host Neighborhood Cares Day in Pines Village
NEW ORLEANS — The Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO) will host their first Neighborhood Cares Day of the year this Saturday, March 9. This event will take place in the Pines Village neighborhood at Digby Park, 6600 Virgilian St., from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
At the event, community members can enjoy free food, music, a clothing giveaway and free groceries while engaging with City departments and local organizations at the resource fair. In addition, volunteers will be making quality of life improvements to the park and the surrounding areas.
Mayor Cantrell and NEO are proud to partner with District D Councilmember Eugene Green, Thrive New Orleans, the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission, We Dat's Chicken and Shrimp, Pee Wee's Crabcakes, Mynnye Chocolates, Starbucks and Giving Hope NOLA.
