TRAFFIC ADVISORY: INTERSECTION CLOSURE AT WOODLAND DRIVE AND TULLIS DRIVE

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) announces that beginning Monday, July 21, at 7 a.m. the Woodland Drive and Tullis Drive intersection will be closed to traffic. Traffic traveling down Tullis Drive will be rerouted through Woodland Drive to continue their commute. The temporary closure will allow DPW contractor Hardrock Construction Co. LLC to complete street repairs as part of the DPW775: Right of Way Improvement Concrete Project. Local access will be maintained.

Parking will be prohibited on blocks where crews are actively working. “No parking” signs will be posted in advance to notify residents and businesses.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure. Traffic control measures — including signage, cones, and fencing — will be in place to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians.

This work is part of the DPW775: Right of Way Concrete Improvement Project, which includes concrete panel replacement, paving and sidewalk repairs at various locations throughout the city. Hardrock Construction Co. LLC is leading construction activities, which generally take place Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
