TRAFFIC ADVISORY: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ETON STREET AT MACARTHUR BOULEVARD
The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) announces that beginning Wednesday, July 23 at 7 a.m. Eton Street will be intermittently closed to through traffic at 5300 - 5400 blocks of MacArthur Boulevard. The temporary closure will allow DPW contractor Hardrock Construction Co. LLC to complete street repairs as part of the DPW775: Right of Way Improvement Concrete Project. Local access will be maintained.
Parking will be prohibited on blocks where crews are actively working. “No parking” signs will be posted in advance to notify residents and businesses.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure. Traffic control measures, including signage, cones, and fencing, will be in place to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians.
This work is part of the DPW775: Right of Way Concrete Improvement Project, which includes concrete panel replacement, paving and sidewalk repairs at various locations throughout the city. Hardrock Construction Co. LLC is leading construction activities, which generally take place Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
