July 28, 2025 | From City of New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans announced that effective immediately, the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Boh Bros. Construction Co. will temporarily close the 700 block of St. Ann Street (Bourbon St. – Royal St.) for approximately three weeks to vehicular traffic for roadwork.
As a part of the DPW773 2024 Right of Way (ROW) Improvements Phase 2 Project, crews will remove the roadway, repave the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb, repair damaged sidewalks, install ADA compliant curb ramps at intersections, and replace damaged underground water, sewer and drainage lines. Construction is expected to continue through the end of November, weather permitting.
During this period, traffic control measures and signage will be in place to safely direct motorists and pedestrians.
These temporary closures are necessary to complete essential roadway improvements, ensuring long-term safety and durability. For more details, visit www.nola.gov/dpwprojects or contact DPW at 504-658-8036 or dpwprojectinfo@nola.gov.
