March 11, 2025 | From City of New Orleans
The City of New Orleans announced that effective immediately, the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Boh Bros. Construction Co., has temporarily closed the following streets for approximately one week to vehicular traffic for roadwork in the 400-600 blocks of Iberville Street:
Iberville St. (Bourbon St. – Chartres St.)
Royal St. (Bienville St. – Canal St.)
Exchange Pl. (Canal St. – Iberville St.)
Crews are actively removing concrete roadway panels and resurfacing the roadway with asphalt pavement as part of the DPW773 2024 Right of Way (ROW) Improvements Phase 2 Project. Construction is expected to continue through the end of the week.
During this period, traffic control personnel and appropriate signage will be in place to safely direct motorists and pedestrians.
These temporary closures are necessary to complete essential roadway improvements, ensuring long-term safety and durability. For more details, visit www.nola.gov/dpwprojects or contact the Department of Public Works at 504-658-8000 or dpwimprovementprojects2024@nola.gov.
