City of New Orleans Issues Statement
The City of New Orleans issued the following statement:
Today, the City of New Orleans submitted to IV Waste LLC and its president, Sidney Torres, IV, a 90-day notice of termination of the emergency sanitation contract, effective July 30.
The City and IV Waste originally entered into the agreement on Dec. 22, 2024, with a start date of Dec. 23, 2024. The purpose of the agreement was to provide emergency sanitation services for Service Area 5, which includes the French Quarter and Downtown Development District.
The City thanks Mr. Torres and IV Waste for their service and appreciates the work completed under the agreement. The City will continue working with IV Waste, over the next 90 days, to ensure a smooth transition and continued quality sanitation services. Henry Consultants stand ready to assume full services on August 1 based on their properly procured and awarded contract.
