City Announces Consolidation of Joint Infrastructure Recovery Request Program Management

The City of New Orleans today announced the consolidation of the Joint Infrastructure Recovery Request (JIRR) Program Management, which will now fall under the leadership of CDM Smith, MB3/Civix, and the Department of Public Works. This important decision reflects the City’s commitment to the successful completion of ongoing projects and the efficient execution of upcoming projects within the program.

The consolidation will enhance the program's overall effectiveness and ensure that the JIRR program is completed with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The new leadership structure will streamline communication and decision making, playing a critical role in the timely and successful resolution of current projects, while providing a solid foundation for future work.

"The collaboration between CDM Smith, MB3/Civix, and DPW is a pivotal step forward for the JIRR Program," said Joseph Threat, Sr., Deputy CAO of Infrastructure - Chief Resilience Officer. "By aligning the strengths of these organizations, we are not only addressing the immediate needs of the program, but also setting a course for smoother, more efficient processes in the years to come."

Additionally, the City of New Orleans will release invitations to bid for two grouped projects in January 2025. This will further support the ongoing efforts of the JIRR Program and help to ensure the continued progress of the city's infrastructure recovery.
