City of New Orleans Rolls into Second Big Weekend of Mardi Gras 2024

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Mardi Gras Season rolls into the second big weekend as the pageantry, parades and second lines take us right up to the world-famous Mardi Gras Day festivities this Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Today’s New Orleans parade events include the Krewe of Bosom Buddies today in the French Quarter, as well as the Uptown parades of Krewe of Hermes, Krewe d’Etat and the Krewe of Morpheus.

Tonight will also spotlight one of the city’s signature Carnival Balls, the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club Coronation Ball of King Select Melvin Labat and Queen Select Angelique Roche.

Some of tonight’s entertainment include the renowned Con Funk Shun Band, who will also receive the Zulu Lifetime Achievement Award for music excellence. Additionally, the Zulu Premier Music Awards will also be presented to Zulu Ball performing artist and music stars Johnny Gill and Ne-Yo.
