CITY OF NEW ORLEANS ANNOUNCES SUPER BOWL LIX PARK AND RIDE TRANSPORTATION PLAN

NEW ORLEANS – With Super Bowl LIX just around the corner, the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee announced a family affordable, convenient Park and Ride transportation plan to ensure that all football fans, New Orleans natives and visitors from around the world, can easily access downtown and be a part of all NFL and Host Committee special events downtown. Veteran local park and ride operators, Gray Line Transportation, are offering this affordable and family-friendly option that will operate on Friday and Saturday before the big game, providing easy access to key event locations near the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and Downtown. This Park and Ride transportation opportunity was coordinated in partnership with GNO, Inc., as part of the organization’s work to oversee infrastructure improvements in the city ahead of the game.

Park and Ride Details:

  • Cost: $10 per rider (round trip). Children 12 and under ride free. Tickets are sold on-site at pick-up locations, and sales are cashless.
  • Pick-Up Locations:
    • Delgado Community College: 5018 Orleans Ave.
    • Oakwood Shopping Center: Behind JCPenney (197 Westbank Expressway)
    • New Orleans East Old Plaza Mall: 5700 Read Blvd.
    • Audubon Nature Institute Zoo: 6500 Magazine St.
  • Drop-Off Location: The primary drop-off point is at the intersection of N. and S. Diamond Streets and Convention Center Blvd (map). Due to ongoing adjustments to street closures and pedestrian-only zones near the Convention Center, the exact drop-off location is subject to change.

Hours of Operation:

  • Friday, February 7: 2 p.m. - 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 8: 8 a.m. - 11 p.m.

The Park and Ride program is designed to provide an affordable transportation option for residents and visitors interested in game week activities, especially the Super Bowl Experience, presented by Panini. Participants are encouraged to arrive early at their chosen pick-up location to secure a spot on the shuttle.

The Super Bowl Experience, presented by Panini, runs from Wednesday, February 5, to Saturday, February 8, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This interactive football festival offers activities for fans of all ages, including autograph sessions with NFL players and legends, photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and championship rings, football skill challenges, giveaways and an NFL shop for official Super Bowl LIX gear.
