Lane Closure on 2400-2600 Tulane Ave (S Miro St to S Broad St)

NEW ORLEANS – On Monday, January 19, 2026, starting at 8:00 am, will be closing off the parking and exterior driving lane of Tulane Ave. (South Miro St to South Board St), to
vehicular traffic to facilitate water utility replacement by Department of Public Works contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC. Safety is our main priority; therefore, we are encouraging everyone to follow all traffic signage and construction directions placed in the area. Traffic will reopen by 6:00 p.m. on February 12, 2026, weather permitting.
The work being done is a part of the $21.8M Iberville, Tulane-Gravier, LGD, CBD Group A joint infrastructure project with the City of New Orleans’ Department of Public Works and Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. Once complete, residents will experience an overall improved quality of life as the project will improve drainage, repair streets, curbs, and sidewalks, and install new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections. The project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2026.
