TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lake Forest Boulevard Canal Bridge Closure

New Orleans--The City of New Orleans announces the immediate closure of the eastbound portion of the Lake Forest Boulevard Canal Bridge. This closure will remain in effect until further notice.

 

The closure is a precautionary measure to ensure public safety, following the city's assessment of the bridge's structural condition. Drivers traveling eastbound on Lake Forest Boulevard are advised to detour via Dwyer Road and use the I-10 Service Road or Basinview Drive as alternative routes. Local neighborhood access will be maintained for residents who live adjacent to the canal bridge.
