BILL PAYMENTS ARE AVAILABLE, TAXPAYERS HAVE UNTIL FEB. 28, 2026, TO SUBMIT PAYMENTS

NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans Bureau of the Treasury 2026 property tax bills are now available. Homeowners in Orleans Parish can access their tax bills online via https://nola.gov/find-tax-bill/. Residents should receive mailed tax bills by the end of January 2026.  

Taxpayers will have until February 28, 2026, to submit payments before interest accrues at 1% per month. 

The Bureau of the Treasury offers several different ways tax payments can be made to make the payment process easier. 

Available payment options include:   

  1. Mail in payment with the scannable bill stub using the enclosed envelope 
  • Accepted forms of payment are check, money order, and cashier’s check (NO Cash) 

 

  1. Paying online at the city’s website at www.nola.gov   
  • NO convenience fee when you use your checking account (E-check).  
  • Credit or debit card use is available. 
  • A 2.49% processing fee will be added.  
  • Available 24 hrs./day, 7 days/week
  • Payments are posted effectively on the date you authorize your bank payment.  
  • You may only pay the entire tax bill online. Partial payments are not accepted.
  1. Drop-off is available at the following public library locations on Wed., Feb. 25, Thur., Feb. 26, and Fri., Feb. 27.
  • East New Orleans Regional Library, 5641 Read Blvd. 
    • Norman Mayer Library, 3001 Gentilly Blvd.  
    • Mid-City Library, 4140 Canal St.  
    • Algiers Regional Library, 3014 Holiday Dr. 

 

Accepted forms of payment:

  • Check, money order, or cashier’s check (NO CASH)  
    • Be sure to include the bill stub and indicate the property address and tax bill number.  
    • No receipt provided.  

City of New Orleans employees will be available on-site at each drop-off location for assistance from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. 

 

Payment must be submitted in a sealed envelope and contain no more than three property tax stubs and payments in each. 

 

Cash will not be accepted, and receipts will not be provided.  

 

  1. Curbside Drop Off is available at City Hall, 1300 Perdido Street, on Wed., Feb. 25, Thur., Feb. 26, and Fri., Feb. 27, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
