City of New Orleans Reminds Residents Healthy Homes Phase Two Registration is Now Open
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans reminds residents that beginning today, July 1, 2024, registration is open for an Annual Healthy Homes Certificate of Compliance for owners of rental properties with 4 – 49 dwelling units.
Owners of rental properties with 4 – 49 dwelling units are required to register at this time. The deadline to apply is August 15, 2024. No fees are imposed for timely registration. However, fees will be imposed if property owners do not register by the deadline provided.
Registration for the Certificate of Compliance is a requirement of the Healthy Homes Ordinance passed in November 2022.
All properties that have between 4 and 49 dwelling units must be registered between July 1 and August 15, 2024. Applicants can apply online via the OneStopApp.
More information about the registration process can be found on the Healthy Homes website at nola.gov/next/healthy-homes/home/. The website features online training guides, a sample application, and an FAQ page.
For all questions about the registration process, please email healthyhomes@nola.gov or call (504) 658-7133.
The Healthy Homes Administration is offering one more in-person session for landlords to become more familiar with the Healthy Homes Ordinance and their obligations to apply for the Certificate of Compliance. The session will take place tomorrow, July 2, 2024, from 1:30-2:30 pm at the New Orleans East Library (5641 Read Blvd).
