Home » Mayor's Office » News » 2025-06-12 CITY OF NEW ORLEANS ISSUES STATEMENT ON PARTICIPATION IN GLOBAL CONFERENCES
June 11, 2025 | From City of New Orleans
The City of New Orleans is an iconic, internationally recognized destination that is frequently invited to participate in global conferences and events alongside major leaders from around the world.
Maintaining New Orleans’ position as a top tourism and business hub is always a key objective when attending these conferences. It’s also important to note that other major city leaders attend these same conferences to promote and represent their cities—making it equally beneficial for New Orleans leaders to do the same.
Being a world-class city doesn’t happen by chance. It requires commitment, strong relationship-building, and the continued support of our city’s tourism and business sectors to remain on the global stage and uphold our reputation as the Championship City.
