City of New Orleans Announces Confirmation of Howard E. "Trey" Nobles as Director of Property Management
NEW ORLEANS —The City of New Orleans today announced the confirmation of Howard E. “Trey” Nobles as the Director of the Department of Property Management. Nobles was appointed as Acting Director of Property Management in January and was unanimously confirmed by the New Orleans City Council today, May 2. He has served the City of New Orleans in multiple compacities since 2015.
"I am honored to have Howard serve as our new Director of Property Management for the City of New Orleans," said Mayor LaToya Cantrell. "His proven expertise makes him the ideal person to lead this department, which manages a significant component of our city’s history, from Gallier Hall to Armstrong Park, the Mahalia Jackson Theatre of the Performing Arts and the New Orleans Municipal Cemeteries. Under his leadership, we will continue to enhance the quality, efficiency and longevity of City-owned properties that represent the culture of local government and are customarily used by residents and visited by thousands of tourists each year.”
As the Director of Property Management, Nobles oversees the strategic management and maintenance of the City's diverse property portfolio. His responsibilities include optimizing property utilization and ensuring the efficient operation of all City-owned assets.
Nobles has a proven track record in both public and private sector roles, where he has demonstrated his commitment to excellence and innovation. He previously held the position of Disaster Recovery Specialist III in the Louisiana Govenor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP), managing the reimbursement of disaster funds. He also served as the Federal Grants Manager and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Policy Advisor for the City of New Orleans.

Nobles obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Tulane University in 2010 and has completed over a dozen certifications from FEMA and the State of Louisiana.
