TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closure on Interstate 10 for Streetlight Repairs

DPW

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Wednesday, May 22 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will close the eastbound right lane along the stretch of Interstate 10 between the 17th Street Canal and the Interstate-10 westbound on-ramp for interstate lighting repairs. For more details, please refer to the attached map.

This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs by DPW contractor All Star Electric.

Public safety is top priority. Throughout the closure period, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., appropriate signage will be deployed to safely guide motorists through the affected area.

This closure marks another step in the ongoing collaborative effort between DPW and LaDOTD to systematically address streetlight repairs.

By working together, both the City and State are dedicated to the successful implementation of these crucial improvements.
