The master plan is posted to LincolnBeach.nola.gov the morning of May 6. Comments on the plan may be submitted by email to lincolnbeach@nola.gov, via the website lincolnbeach.nola.gov or in person at the May 6 public meeting. The comment period is scheduled to close on June 2 at 11:59 p.m.
The City reminds residents that Lincoln Beach is currently closed to the public due to the presence of alligators, venomous snakes and poisonous flora. Gathering at the beach is prohibited. In the nearly twenty years since Hurricane Katrina, residents have consistently voiced the importance of revitalizing Lincoln Beach in New Orleans East. In response to the community's desire and working with the congressional delegation, the City allocated $24.6M in 2023 to begin the engineering and master planning process.
